Meet Bill Anderson
There are not many individuals working in the media in their thirties who can claim 20 years of experience but Bill Anderson is one of those people. Having begun his career as a 16 year old production assistant to the legendary Georgie Woods and having grown up in radio thanks to the successes of his father Cody Anderson, Bill has developed a knack for on-air expression.
Since taking on his first full time radio slot one year after graduating as a member of the Dean’s List of Academic Achievement at George Washington University, Bill has constantly progressed and been recognized for his growth. He has become not only a respected voice of Philadelphia but also a member of Philadelphia’s political movers and shakers. Bill has been recognized by Congressman Chaka Fattah as one of the “Men Making a Difference” and has been noted as one of “Philadelphia’s Most Influential African Americans.” He has also been a member of Mayor John Street’s inaugural transition team, listed as one of The Philadelphia Tribune’s “People to watch under 40″, been commended by Gov. Tom Ridge and recognized by Philadelphia Weekly Newspaper as “The Best Radio Talker.”
Bill Anderson has taken his successes in media and branched out into other successful business ventures. He is co-founder and vice president of ACG Associates Public Relations and was an investor and board member of the Riverwalk Casino, a team of Philadelphians who partnered with Planet Hollywood to become one of only 5 finalists for ownership of the $500 Million Riverwalk Casino proposal.
If business and media are Bill’s passions then community is his love. He has served on numerous boards and is actively involved in several community organizations. Join in daily to hear more from Bill Anderson on 900AM WURD, your information station committed to solutions.
