Two questions: Why is he not supporting Obama with the same passion which he supported Clinton? His decision on the DHS tragedy was understood and supported. However, why such ghetto language? And also:shouldn’t the mayor always practice professionalism even under the most extreme conditions?

Why are the PGW bills going to an address in New Jersey? We need jobs here in Philadelphia and PGW should have their billing office in Philly and not out-sourced.

Mr. Nutter…I just want to say to you, Commissioner Ramsey, and all the good cops out trying to make things better for the black community in Philadelphia…you’re in a situation…where you’re not going to win. Its just the truth. There’s a silent MAJORITY who supports and APPRECIATES your efforts. HOWEVER…there’s a very LOUD, IGNORANT, and OBNOXIOUS minority that drowns them out.
To this more vocal minority…if the police do their JOB and arrest criminals (which REQUIRES some “rough play”, its just reality)and make the community safer, then you’re an “Uncle Thom”. Then the brutality complaints surface (POOR CRIMINALS, SNIFF, SNIFF!). If you sit back and allow neighborhoods to be overrun with thugs, then you’re not doing your job. This is what you’ll be dealing with, damn if you do, damn if you dont.
You’re going to be forced to ignore that minority and their attempts to make law enforcement the villain. If I was a criminal, I’d hate cops too :D!

Today’s newspaper shows us how mad you are at the class action suit against DHS, THE CITY, and the STATE.
If that is your position, you don’t seem to really care.
I have been associated with social workers who know how poor many workers have been in the past. As a council member, you have had to know this. There are workers in DHS and throughout the city workforce who are just BUMS and who won’t work. They are like all those CAMDEN DHS workers who routinely went to the house of 4 starving kids to socialize with the parents. There is a culture of bumden in the city even though the workers may get paid good money. I saw this culture in the Water Department, in the Health Department, and in New Jersey. There are many people who wouldn’t lift a pen or do their own job if it was a matter of life and death as you can see in this latest case. The school system collapsed, the old hospital system collapsed, and many departments have collapsed because people on the payroll of Philadelphia would not lift a finger. To many professionals, Philadelphia is a joke. I know this from first hand experience as well.
I hope they sue the pants off of Philadelphia. The city should not be responsible for the care of others, especially children. Across the board, this city has failed the elderly [lately they have improved here],they have failed the education of Students, they have failed the children of this city, and so forth. Your anger doesn’t change the facts on the ground.
What have you done to make people do their jobs?

My question is ,how can I be in court taking care of a traffic ticket, and come out of the court to a parking ticket on my car because the meter expired? I cant just get up out of the judges courtroom and go check my meter,I filled it up ,but you can’t pre determine how long you will be in the court, I feel like your set up for failure in that type of situation.
