Today we jumped right into a spirited debate about VP candidate Sarah Palin and her pregnant teenaged daughter. We also discussed Diddy and his recent video blog criticizing the Repub VP selection. The Diddy blog appears in my blog section and you can hear the opening monologue of the show below.

Wow, the folks were upset with me today. I made the mistake of saying that although I enjoyed Michelle Obama’s speech, I thought that it was effective but not impressive. I had no idea the relatively innocent statement would generate so much anger. Today the discussion was controversial and inflammatory.  We spent much of the show discussing the DHS case in Philadelphia.  The attorneys who represent the family charged with starving their child to death have advised the family to file a civil suit against the agencies that should’ve intervened.  We discussed whether individuals who allowed a child to starve to death should be entitled to any compensation in a civil suit.
