Video:Bill O’Reilly vs Jon Stewart on Stewart Show

14 November 2008 138 views 5 Comments

Bill O’Reilly was strangely subdued on the Jon Stewart show. It is interesting watching a bully be unable to bully someone. All 5′7 of Jon Stewart managed to have a relatively civil conversation with the 6′4 blowhard O’Reilly.

Bill O’Reilly wasn’t trying to bully Jon Stewart. He is making the rounds of TV shows to promote his book. His demeanor on Stewart’s program is the same as it has been on the TV programs that are a part of his book promotion tour. When he was on The View a couple of weeks ago, he was very gracious to Joy Behar who told him right to his face that she did not like him.

Bill O’Reilly even had a good time with David Letterman who tried to take him on 2 years ago.

For a liberal, you watch an awful lot of conservative programming :)! I cant tell you what happened on Mathews or Oberman because I dont watch those guys, nor do I have any desire to! Hannity talked about Obama not being able to pass his own employment questionaire, I can tell you that much :)! O’Reilly did something on liberals going RIGHT on social issues (prop 8). NO WONDER the dems are attempting a “fairness doctrine”! Put down the binoculars, raise the remote, and change the channel :)!

Most INFORMED people, no matter what their leaning/political party, watch/listen/read/analyze opposing points of view. Believing in the old adage, “Keep your friends close, your enemies closer”. I also watch/listen to/read Fox news, 1210, 990, read conservative leaning articles/blogs, etc., along with moderate and liberal sources of information.

Interesting that you find it “strange” that someone else would watch/listen to alternative points of view as you lavish praise on Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush and other right-wing “flame-throwers” while hanging out on the WURD’s chat/message boards making silly and insulting remarks.

BTW: I don’t believe Bev considers herself a “liberal”.

I dont listen to RUSH! I’m not THAT far to the right :)! I’m a centrist, LEANING right! Hannity is a centrist-friendly conservative! He co-hosts a show with a LIBERAL, and is open to debate from the left! I agree with O’Reilly on gangsta rap :)! Rush represents the corner of the party that is too extreme!

And I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t BLACK! Black conservatives aren’t allowed at WURD :)? And point out the posts I did that you consider INSULTING! I dont ever remember being insulting! Maybe TRUTHFUL and BLUNT…

Continuing on with WHY I’m here if I’m a conservative…basically… I’ve given up on 99% of my people. Okay :)? Voilent, criminal, “gangsta”, etc. I will come across the 1% every once in a while, but 1 out of 10 just isn’t good enough :)! I’ve moved away, gotten away, and given up THAT way…but what I HAVEN’T given up on is the hope that the 1% will turn into 10%, then 20%, then 30%…try to do my part from AFAR. So in a lot of ways, WURD is one of the few of my remaining connections with urban black people. A place to VENT, and to POUND home the destructive lifestyle that is hip-hop/gangsta rap. In the future I have plans of either creating or joining an anti-gangsta-rap group that tells kids the UGLY side of hip-hop culture for BLACK kids: certain incarceration, an early death, usually in the mid to late twenties! See, we’re not talking the rich suburban white kid that listens to rap purely as a entertainment during his relious stages! OR the LESS than 1% of black kids that hit it big in rap. We’re talking about the UGLY REALITY side, not the glamorous side they show on MTV to sell a CD :)! So basically WURD, being the only black station in Philly, is my only outlet to push my ant-hip-hop-pro-eductation agenda on the ONLY ones you have a CHANCE to change: black males under the age of…12! Right before the rap music has REALLY sunk in! After that, its a lost cause!
